About Australian Weather News
Hot in southeastern WA
Fog blankets Darwin
Maximum temperatures were up to 13° above normal in southeastern WA today in a warm airmass that has drifted south around the back end of a slow-moving high pressure system over the past two days. Balgair, about 350km east of Kalgoorlie, recorded a top of 33.5°, 13.2 above its August average.

Parts of Darwin experienced thick fog this morning for the second morning in a row. Fog is relatively rare in Darwin, and formed on both nights as a result of early-developing sea breezes the previous day building up low level moisture.
