Damaging winds accompany NT storm
As pre-wet season storms begin to fire up during the afternoons across the NT Top End, Mango Farm on the Daly River, 200km NW of Katherine, reported very strong winds and a possible tornado with a mid-afternoon storm. The Bureau observer reported average winds above 70km/h at 3pm increasing to cause considerable damage around 3.15pm with a 40m hay shed blown away.
