The leading Macintyre River flood waters are expected to reach Boggabilla late tonight to cause Minor flooding. However, later and higher flood waters from both the Macintyre and Dumaresq Rivers are expected to peak at Boggabilla Thursday morning with Minor flooding. The Severn River at Ashford is still above minor flood level. FLOOD WARNING FOR THE GWYDIR RIVER AT GRAVESEND AND DOWNSTREAM Issued at 9:30am on Tuesday the 27th of November 2001 The flood peak is now downstream of Yarraman Bridge where it peaked at 6.5 metres. The river should remain above MINOR flood level for the next 24 hours with a second peak caused by moderate rainfall which fell in the 3 hours from 6 to 9pm last night . FLOOD WARNING FOR THE GWYDIR RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF YARRAMAN BRIDGE Issued at 8:43am on Wednesday the 28th of November 2001 A second minor flood wave passed through Yarraman last night around 9pm. The level of the river at Yarraman Bridge has now fallen below MINOR flood level [4.0 metres]. Some MINOR rural flooding will extend downstream of Yarraman over the next few days. FLOOD WARNING FOR THE MACINTYRE RIVER Brisbane. The flood waters in the Macintyre River are downstream of Holdfast and approaching the junction with the Dumeresq River. River levels at Holdfast are falling although renewed rises are expected overnight. These are not expected to exceed earlier peaks. River levels are rising downstream of Holdfast to Goondiwindi. The river level at Goondiwindi was 6.26 metres and rising at 3pm today with moderate flooding. River levels at Goondiwindi will reach over 7 metres early Wednesday morning with further rises expected during Wednesday and Thursday. A moderate flood level of near 8 metres is possible during Thursday. No significant rises are expected in the Macintyre Brook. River rises are occurring in the Dumeresq River but are expected to remain below the minor flood level.
