Issued at 9:57am on Thursday the 29th of November 2001 The main flood peak is now approaching Boggabilla, where the travel time has been slower than expected and a peak is expected by noon today. The Dumaresq River at Bengalla peaked overnight at 3.54 metres. The river levels at Ashford & Yetman on the Macintyre system are falling slowly but are still above minor flood levels. FW Sydney. Issued at 3:37pm on Thursday the 29th of November 2001 The Macintyre River at Boggabilla has peaked at 8.40 metres at 11am this morning. Goondiwindi peaked around 7.90 metres at midday today. Minor flooding will continue over the next few days at Yetman and downstream. The river level at Ashford has now fallen below the minor flood level. FW Brisbane morning. Moderate flood levels are nearing a peak in the Macintyre River at Goondiwindi. At 9am the river level at Goondiwindi was 7.90 metres and rising slowly with a peak, near this level, expected around noon today. A moderate flood peak of 7.23 metres was recorded in the Macintyre River at New Kildonan at 6am this morning. All river levels are now falling in the Macintyre River upstream of Boggabilla Weir with minor to moderate flooding easing. The Dumeresq River at Bengella peaked overnight at 3.54 metres. All river levels in the Dumeresq River are now falling below minor flood level. High river levels are expected to continue in the Goondiwindi area during Thursday and into Friday. Moderate flooding will extend downstream to Riverview over the next few days. FW Brisbane afternoon: Moderate flood levels have peaked in the Macintyre River at Goondiwindi. At 3pm the river level at Goondiwindi was 7.87 metres and falling slowly from its peak of 7.90 metres at noon. Moderate flooding at Goondiwindi will continue to ease slowly overnight and during Friday. Moderate flooding will extend downstream to Terrawah over the next few days. All river levels are now falling in the Macintyre River upstream of Goondiwindi with minor to moderate flooding easing. The Dumaresq River at Bengalla peaked overnight at 3.54 metres. All river levels in the Dumaresq River are now falling below minor flood level. Isolated minor flooding continues in the Thomson River at Bogewong. Minor flooding has developed in the Dawson River at Taroom. Localised minor to moderate flooding has developed in the Baloone River at Surat.
