Above average minimum and maximum temperatures covered about 98% of the nation today, with further record high maxima reported from WA and SA (see below). The hot conditions spread into Victoria as well, with Melbourne City's top of 25.6 just 3.1° shy of their May record in 147 years of observations. NEWSBITS: Moist unstable onshore winds continued to bring some heavy showers to the NSW North Coast, and the southeast coast and far north coast in Queensland. |
