Overnight minima again reached record levels in parts of South Australia. Price, on the Yorke Peninsula 90km NW of Adelaide recorded -1.0, its lowest in 37 years of computerised records, while Murray Bridge broke its previous record set yesterday with a low of -2.0. In Victoria, the Penguin Reserve on Phillip Island southeast of Melbourne recorded -2.0, its lowest August minimum in 15 years of record. NEWSBITS: While is was a cold start to the day in SA, temperatures just across the border in southeastern WA soared to between 8 and 13° above average today with Eucla reporting a high of 32.2. |
