Wind, storms and snow in the SE
Strong cold westernlies following the passage of an overnight front gave wind gusts of 118km/h at Mt Hotham, 122 at Wilsons Promintory and 126 atop Mt Wellington. Overnight snow was reported from Tarraleah on the Tasmanian Central Plateau, and there were widespread storms through Victoria, Bass Strait and northern Tasmania overnight and during the morning.
