Heavy rain QLD North and Central coasts
Widespread fog again in VIC

A cloudband, cooler air aloft and a trough to the west produced some heavy falls along the QLD North Coast this morning and on the Central Coast later in the day. Innisfail reported 66mm to 9 this morning and a further 58.2 to 9am Wednesday. As a Low began to develop off the coast, storms and showers from late this afternoon through to early Wednesday morning gave good falls around Mackay, where the Airport recorded 47mm between 3 and 9pm. Mackay Airport, Mirani and Dalrymple Heights (Eungella) all reported 80mm for the 24 hours to 9am Wednesday, while Mount Charlton, 50km WNW of the city, topscored with 104mm.

Fog was even more widespread across Victoria this morning with high pressure settled over the region. The fog didn't lift until late morning in some areas, leading to maximum temperatures 6 to 8 below average.
