Record warmth on NSW Northern Tablelands

Maximum temperature anomalies today. BoM

Glen Innes and Guyra set new July maximum temperature records today as unseasonable warmth covered much of the continent. The top temperature at Glen Innes Post Office rocketed 2.9C above the old record of 20.0 in 40 years of computerised obserations. The Ag Research Station also added one degree to its previous record of 19.0, while farther south at Guyra, a new record of 17.7 was set. Several days of northwesterlies have brought warm dry air from Central Australia across NSW.
