Severe storm strikes Wagga NSW

A severe storm developed unexpectedly west of Wagga mid afternoon, crossing the city around 4pm and moving east to dissipate around Canberra early this evening. Wind gusted to 91km/h at Wagga Airport, and there were reports of trees and powerlines brought down as well as damage to some houses. The SES was called to 10 jobs in Wagga, as well as 3 in Griffith, 3 in Coolamon and 1 in Junee. The storm gave Canberra Airport a wind gust of 89km/h shortly after 6pm.
