Storms bring heavy falls to SE QLD

Thunderstorms developed this afternoon along a near-stationery trough lying from around Brisbane to the SE Gulf of Carpentaria. Some heavy falls were reported from the storms in the 24-hour totals on Friday, including 67mm at Wowan, 65km SW of Rockhampton, and 61 at Blackwater, 90km E of Emerald.
