Heavy storm fall in NSW NW Slopes

Major bushfire burns north of Albany WA

Hot, dry and strong northerly winds fuelled a major bushfire near Tenterden, about 80km NNW of Albany, today. Two women died in the bushfire, which also killed about 15,000 sheep and hundreds of cattle as it burnt through 13,000 hectares of bushland and crops. Another fire near Bridgetown in the Southwest destroyed one house and over 4,500ha of timber and pasture.

Heavy storm fall in NSW NW Slopes

30mm of rain fell in 15 minutes at Inverell in a storm today.
