A sustained microburst which lasted about half an hour damaged trees and caravan annexes in a caravan park south of Darwin NT during the afternoon. Wind gusts estimated at between 100 and 150km/h produced a trail of dmage about half a kilometre long and 20 to 100m wide along the Stuart Highway. Heavy rain caused some local flooding.
