International Rwanda: 75 or more lose lives in rain and storms Fri 27 Apr 2018: Updated figures say at least 24 people have died in floods or landslides brought on by heavy rain in the last few days according to the Rwanda Meteorology Agency and local media. It has been an unhappy start to the year for the tiny central-eastern African country, with Rwanda's ministry in charge of disaster management saying that 51 people had already died from heavy rains and lightning between January and mid-April.
