AUS: Cool conditions continue

The unusually widespread low temperatures continued today with both overnight and daytime temperatures affected. Unusually cold conditions for May have now been a feature of the weather for over a week. Today, the greatest variations from normal were in western QLD and around the Gulf in both QLD and the NT. Longreach recorded a low of 3.0, 9 below normal, while the mercury only reached 22.0 at Brunette Downs on the NT Barkly Tablelands, 7.9 below. A frosty morning in NE VIC gave Yarrawonga its coldest May morning in 14 years.
