Noteworthy weather today
significant newsworthy major

WA, NT, QLD: Extreme cold and wet "dry" season in the north. See story 19 June.

NSW: Cold day on the North Coast. Thick cloud cover from a trough developing offshore kept daytime temperatures a long way below normal on the North Coast today. Grafton Olympic Pool's top of 13.7 was its coldest June day in 40 years, and most parts of the district recorded temperatures 8 to 10 below average.
