WA, NT, QLD: Another cold night

Further low minimum temperature records were set across the tropics this morning as temperatures dropped to between 6 and 10 below average over a huge area. Kununurra Airport in WA reported its coldest night in 21 years with a low of 7.8 while in the NT Channel Point's 9.9 was its lowest measured in 14 years. Darwin and Gove Airports both set new June record low grass minimum temperatures. In QLD, Georgetown, in the Gulf Country 300km from the Gulf of Carpentaria, reported a light frost along the creek.
