WA: Significant rain in the SW

A trough crossing the South West late morning and afternoon brought 6 to 9 hours of steady rain with falls of 25 to 40mm south of a line from Busselton to Bremer Bay. Top falls for the 24 hours to 9am Friday, most of which fell today, were 41.2 at Rocky Gully, 40.0 at Frankland and 36.4 at Denbarker.

WA: Hot again in the SE

Very warm conditions were experienced ahead of the trough in SE WA with maxima 8 to 12 above average. Eyre, at 14.7 above average, set a new April high with a reading of 38.5. Eyre often seems to report anomalously high and low readings, possibly due to its location among sandhills near the coast.
