SE AUS: Polar outbreak brings widespread snow

Tas flooding: The weather bureau's rainfall figures for the seven days to 9am today show why we've had localised minor flooding.

On the West Coast, Strathgordon recorded a swimming pool-filling 196mm and Strathgordon 152mm, with Mt Read a distant third with 135mm.

Of the Northern centres, Diddleum copped 138mm in eight days while Elliott, south of Burnie, received 103mm in seven days.
