Isolated
severe
storm in SE NSW
An isolated but intense thunderstorm developed in SE NSW during
the early evening, becoming severe around 8pm. It occurred in remote country
near Ingebyra, 30km SSW of Jindabyne and no damage was reported. It appears,
however, to have been a good example of an isolated pulse storm, and is described
in detail on Australian
Sky &
Weather. In Grenfell, the SES were called to a house in Bradley Street,
where what was described as a "whirlwind" had lifted the rear patio roof placing
it upside-down on the roof of the home, with a section of it landing on a vehicle
parked underneath.
