Temperature extremes across southern SA, WA

Temperature extremes across southern SA, WA

A strong cold front began making its way across southern WA this morning. Ahead of the front and preceding trough, southeastern WA and southern SA recorded maximum temperatures in the mid-30s, up to 10 above the April norm. Behind the front, top temperatures only reached the mid to high teens. Light to moderate rain showers accompanied the passage of the front, giving a much-needed 5 to 15mm across the Southwest, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt.
