Heat continues through the Centre and western QLD

Heat continues through the Centre and western QLD

For the third night in a row, an area of SE NT has experienced minimum temperatures around 10° above the April average. Jervois Station, 250km ENE of Alice Springs, has reported minima of 27, 24 and 24 over the past three mornings, 13, 10 and 10 above average. An area of warm air over the southern NT, SW QLD and northern SA has led to both minimum and maximum temperatures around 6 to 10 above average over much of the centre of the continent since 1 April.
