Fire threatens Adelaide wildlife park

Fire threatens Adelaide wildlife park

A bushfire burnt through 11 hectares of the Cleland Conservation and Wildlife Park southeast of the Adelaide metropolitan area this morning. The fire was deliberately lit near Waterfall Gully around 6am, and burnt upslope to within 400m of the popular wildlife park before 70 CFS, Metropolitan Fire Service and National Parks and Wildlife personnel were able to bring it under control in improving wind and temperature conditions around midday.
